Performance Development Pathway Male Athlete Application 2023 (Sparrring)
Overview:
The aim of the program is to supplement and support athletes who are not currently selected as part of the Performance Pathways Program. The Program offers athletes ongoing state training at regional centres, state camps, funding opportunities and international exposure and scholarship opportunities to fund international events and training.
There are 40 positions available inclusive of both males and females. Applications close 28th February 2023 OR When Program reaches capacity. This will be based on order of applications. Applicants will be notfied through their Head Instructor. It is the Head Instructors responsibilty to relay all information regarding the program to their athletes.
There is a $50 cost for 2023, to cover the cost of the training and all futures events.
Please note: Performance Pathways athletes may attend the State Training Program events at the invitation of their head instructor and approval of the event hosting instructor pending space requirements. These athletes will not be eligible for funding as they are under the PPP funding
Please also note: Players not identified as part of the initial AT Performance Pathways Program Identification Camps will be invited to monthly AT Development Program sessions coordinated with members of the National Coaching Group and National Performance Pathway Lead who will continue to monitor their commitment to development, consulting regularly with the club coach to monitor their progression with the potential for future invitation to engage with the Performance Pathway in ongoing weekly or camp activities
Scholarship Funding Applications will be released in due course, with the full Australian Taekwondo Policy and selection criteria.
Eligibility Criteria:
For athletes to be eligible they must:
- Be a registered Australian Taekwondo Athlete
- Be aged 14+
- NOT be taking part in the Performance Pathways Program or other High Performance Programs
- Have competed at a National OR State Level
- Hold a rank of 1st Dan or above.
- Hold a National Athlete Licence Have your
- Head Instructors Permission to join the program
- Be approved by the Australian Taekwondo Victoria Board of Directors
Refund Policy:
- No Refunds will be given for removal of the program for non-attendance
