Performance Development Pathway Athlete Application 2024 (Sparrring)

REGISTRATION CLOSES 10TH MARCH 2024

 

 

 

Overview:

The aim of the program is to supplement and support athletes who are not currently selected as part of the Performance Pathways Program. The Program offers athletes ongoing state training at regional centres, state camps, funding opportunities and international exposure and scholarship opportunities to fund international events and training.

There are 40 positions available inclusive of both males and females. Applications close 10th March 2024 OR When Program reaches capacity. This will be based on order of applications. Applicants will be notfied through their Head Instructor. It is the Head Instructors responsibilty to relay all information regarding the program to their athletes.

All athletes must seek the approval of their respective Head Instructor/s before registering

There is a $125 cost for 2024, to cover the cost of the training and all futures events.

Our program has successfully provided funding support for the 2024 U.S Open to athletes who were committed to the program in 2023. We hope to continue providing opportunities for athletes to
support their development through funding avenues in this year’s program.

Scholarship Funding Applications will be released in due course, with the full Australian Taekwondo Policy and selection criteria.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

For athletes to be eligible they must:

• Be a registered Australian Taekwondo Athlete
• NOT be taking part in the Performance Pathways Program or other High-Performance
  Programs
• Have competed at a State, National and or International Event.
• Hold a rank of Kukkiwon 1st Dan or above.
• Hold a National Athlete Licence (NAL)
• Have your Head Instructors Permission to join the program
• Be approved by the Australian Taekwondo Victoria Board of Directors based on the
  recommendation of State Sparring Coaching Committee
• Cadet, junior and senior athletes as of December 31st 2024, are eligible to apply
• Be approved by the Australian Taekwondo Victoria Board of Directors

Refund Policy:

• No Refunds will be given for removal of the program for non-attendance
